Extra Income Moms: Strategies for Finding the Right Work from Home Opportunities

There are many circumstances that may force you to join the ranks of the extra income moms. You may be looking to supplement your income that is not enough to support your life’s expenses, or you may want some extra income to save up for a major purpose, or to add to your children’s college savings fund. Regardless of the reason, there are lots of opportunities to generate extra income for moms. In this article we are going to explore how you can find the right fit for your skills, interests and the amount of time that you have available.

How do I choose the right work at home job?
You will begin by taking an assessment of the kinds of things that you enjoy doing, things that you do well, and what areas you have an interest in. Start making a list of these things and then create a description of your ideal extra income job. It is also important to write down the things that you would not like to do. Get feedback on your skills and strengths from friends and co-workers.

Begin your search for a work at home job online keeping your preferences in mind. When you have narrowed down your search, look for online reviews about the particular work at home company that you are considering. Check their reputation in various online forums and try to talk to others who have worked for that organization before you sign up.

How can I avoid getting scammed?
If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is, and if there is a promise of huge income with no effort then it’s most likely a scam. Often, unscrupulous marketers try to appeal to people’s sense of greed and laziness, so investigate the truth of the promises they make and always perform your due diligence before signing up or paying money.

Check http://www.scambusters.org/ or http://www.consumerfraudreporting.org/reporting.php to find out if a program that you are considering is a scam or to report if you feel that you have been scammed online.

How will I juggle being a mom and working from home?
Being organized is the first step to juggling priorities. Create a calendar and schedule in your current activities and obligations. Block off the chunks of time when you will be available for your work from home job. Set aside a separate work area from the rest of the household. Be serious about this work and set specific goals that will keep you motivated to stick with it even when things get challenging.

Find other work from home moms in your community and swap child care duties so that you can have some time where you can give your work your undivided attention. Limit multi-tasking because all that does is divide your attention.

Extra Income moms will be glad to know that there is a website where you can find lots of ideas, resources and support for developing your business ideas. Take advantage of everything we have to offer to help generate extra income for stay at home moms. You’ll find coaching from experienced work at home mom experts and a forum for communicating with other moms just like you who are making their dreams of working from home a reality every day.

Mom Training: Coaching for Moms Who Dream of Success

Mom training, or mom coaching is focused on giving moms the tools and strategies for achieving their dreams and goals in life. Are you a mom who often receives bolts of inspiration but then you don’t follow up on those ideas? As you go through your daily life do you have visions of doing something more with your life? Do you hear about the successes that others around you have achieved and it makes you want to get out there and change the world yourself? If you have had thoughts such as these, then maybe it’s time for you to think about mom training.

Mom training or mom coaching helps you to first do some deep introspection to see what the true dreams, visions, and desires of your heart really are. For instance, you may have been focusing on a dream to open a daycare facility, but maybe what you really want to do is start a school. A coach will help draw out of you what you are really hoping for and then work with you to give you the encouragement to pursue your vision until it comes to pass.

But there are some challenging questions that you should ask yourself before engaging the services of a coach to make sure that you are ready to launch into the process of transforming both yourself and your circumstances.

Are you willing to do the work necessary to get from where you are to where you want to be?

Are you willing to be accountable to someone for the goals/timelines that you choose?

Are you ready to stretch yourself and move beyond your zone of comfort?

Are you prepared to not allow distractions to hinder your progress?

Do you feel like there is something that is holding you back from reaching your goals?

When considering working with a mom coach, you must work with someone who has achieved the success that you seek and who has had accomplishments comparable to the goals you aspire to. Someone who has been there and weathered those late nights, dealt with unsupportive spouses and family members, and fought the uphill battle until she had attained her goals, will be able to guide you and remind you to keep your eyes on the prize and not on those things that might try to pull you down.

You already have everything that you need within you to reach your goals, but working with a coach will help you to not only look within, but share her knowledge, skills, experience and even contacts to help you to transform your life’s vision into reality.

When you are ready to try mom training and take that first step to find a way to take your skills, knowledge and passion and create a business of your own, you are welcome to visit, http://www.nasahm.com, where you will find a wealth of resources for supporting moms as they seek to balance work and life and personal goals. You’ll find coaching available from work at home mom experts who have achieved the success that you aspire to.

How to Find Your Purpose for Moms

Find your purpose for moms is a process for looking inward to discover what you feel is your unique reason for being alive right now. Moms work hard everyday from the moment they wake up until the time when they fall into bed at night exhausted from the activities of the day. The never ending flow of dirty dishes, dirty laundry and dirty bottoms can grow monotonous and the days can begin to blurr one into the next.

You love your children and you want to do your best to be the best mom that you can be, but you also have inner urges for something more in your life. You have questions in your mind about what your purpose is in this world aside from being the mother to your children and partner to your mate.

The great Yogic philosopher Patanjali, wrote the following about finding your purpose:

“When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds: Your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great, and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be.” —Patanjali

To discover your purpose you need to set aside some time when you will not be interrupted. Get out your journal or a piece of paper and a pen, but before you begin to write take a moment and quiet your mind. Focus on your breath and try to find the place within you where your true purpose lies waiting to be discovered. Begin writing down things that you have been successful at in the past, the things that bring you joy when you do them—the thing that you would do even if you were not getting paid for it. Is there anything that you do that puts you in ‘the zone’ where time seems to stop and you forget even to stop and eat? Write that down as well.

Here are some questions to encourage your introspection process:

What are you passionate about?

Who do you admire?

What are your strengths?

What gives you a sense of fulfillment?

What causes do you believe in?

What ideals do you steadfastly defend?

What is your vision for this world?

What is the one thing that you would regret not having done before you die?

After you answer these questions and any others that come to mind you should know your purpose. Now your task is to find the best way to make your purpose the center of all that you do. Author Alan Cohen said, “The purpose of life is not to fight against evil and misfortune; it is to unveil magnificence.”  What will you do to unveil your magnificence today? The world is waiting for you to discover your purpose and to live in it with passion.

Find your purpose for moms might include having your own business. If that is true for you, please visit, http://nasahm.com, to take advantage of all of the resources they have available to support stay at home moms who want to become mom entrepreneurs. You’ll find coaching services from women who are experts at balancing work and family responsibilities while attaining success. Stay at Home Moms: Energy Management Tips

Stay at home moms are giving their family the most valuable gift possible–their time and attention. But a stay at home mom has tremendously busy days full of conflicting priorities and a seemingly unending list of tasks. Her energy is her most valuable asset when it comes to making it through those long, exhausting days.

With so much to do around the house taking care of the children and pets and yourself, cooking, cleaning, managing homework or teaching if you are homeschooling your children. Mothers want to give their children so much, but you can’t give what you don’t possess yourself. If you want to give your children the love and nurturing that they need in order to grow and thrive you must first give those things to yourself. Managing your energy is the key to handling everything that comes at you with poise and grace.

Here are some tips for planning your day and managing your energy as you complete your tasks:

Set Realistic Goals

Don’t try to be all things to all people. Aiming to be a supermom is a recipe for burnout and disaster. Learning to say no respectfully without making excuses is one of the biggest gifts you can give yourself.

Pace yourself

Break your larger goals into daily, and then hourly chunks.

Organize living and working space

Keeping your kitchen, office and your children’s rooms organized saves so much time and energy. When you don’t have to rush around looking for lost keys and that missing shoe things go more smoothly.

Identify your daily priorities

Choose the most important thing that you must do on a given day and go after that task first.

Schedule breaks throughout the day

Make sure to have some down time when you can just enjoy spending time reading or playing with your child.

Relax and breathe

When you are in the thick of things don’t forget to breathe. Taking deep, mindful breaths and even a 60 second meditation can completely shift your energy.

Re-assess goals weekly

Take the time weekly to decide what’s working and what needs to change. Ask yourself if you are you getting the support that you need. Is it time to stretch yourself further?

Are you a stay at home mom who is looking to find a way to put your knowledge and passion to work so that you can develop a business of your own without sacrificing your time with your family? You are welcome to visit, http://www.nasahm.com, where you will find a vast resource of ideas for getting your own home business started, support for new mom entrepreneurs in balancing the responsibilities of running a household and a business at the same time successfully and without stressing you out. You’ll get access to coaching from work at home mom experts and the opportunity to communicate with other stay at home moms who are creating their own businesses while being there for their families. Inspirational Stories

TraciDavisTraci Davis, Author of  “The Momma Guide” gives tips to make life easier for Moms!

I am a mom and darned proud of it! My family keeps me going and supports me in anything I do.

I grew up in the farming and ranching family… riding horses almost every day, with friends or family, making up games as we went along. Rarely did I tell my parents that I was bored, knowing if I had, I would have been put to work. LOL!

We had no video games or cell phones, but we did have walkie-talkies and did try to talk to the truckers on them.

This being said, I believe that having all been kids and do remember what it is like. I have been through my share of good times and bad. (That is for another book!).

I was raised in a small town and love the country. I am a mom, first! I feel blessed to have two beautiful daughters…Laurel is thirteen and Taylor is six. They are completely different kids, and I am very thankful for that. I enjoy taking pictures of them in all the activities and horseback riding that they do!

I am a business owner, as well. I have run several successful businesses and love working.

My family and I attend the local cowboy church and love the atmosphere. It feels so at home.

Tom and I, together with our children, live in Texas, where we take pleasure in our horses and other animals. Tom and I enjoy the farming and ranching life!

Special Awards –

In 1988 in Othello Washington, I was Rodeo Queen, showed horses and cattle in 4-H, FFA, and other local circuit shows. I received the My American Farmer Award in FFA (this is the highest honor in FFA)

I am also a certified first responder and licensed Equine Massage Therapist.

As far as my businesses go, I owned and ran TLC Cleaning for over 10 years and was very successful. However, due to life changes, I now run Tan Yer Hide and Tone it too! www.TanYerHide.com  I am also a member of the Mills County Chamber of Commerce.

I give thanks to our Lord for him allowing us to write this book and share it with others!

KimberlyGonzalezKim Gonzalez, Stay at Home Mom & Entrepreneur helps moms live Healthy!

Hi everyone, I’m Kim Gonzalez – a happily single, Mother of 3.  Being there for my children full-time for the last 14+ years has been my main priority.  I was born and raised just north of the Chicago area.  But honestly I can say my heart is tied to the island of Puerto Rico, where I spent a great deal of time with relatives over the years.  The years of living a life of what I call “the program.”  Yes, the program that was fed to me and the majority–go to college, get a job with a good corporation, get married and have kids,  make sure the job has good benefits, and look forward to working there for 30 years.

My entrepreneurial journey began after the birth of my second child and second marriage when I left the pharmaceutical corporate life to become a stay at home mom.  During this time I developed a burning desire to find a way to make my own money that I could bring to the family table.  I ran an in-home daycare, traded stocks, and saved us money on home improvements, by learning and doing these things myself.  All the while, my other main focus was to keep my family healthy.  This is where my nursing background comes in handy, as well as my passion for helping others.  My passion for helping others is a Kim thing, as well as environmental.  You see, my closest family died way too young and spent many years with financial disease as well.  Years later my knowledge led me to realize that people do not have to live in these circumstances.  Therefore, the prevention of these poisons became my passion.

As my kids got older, I experimented with working outside of the home with jobs that could still allow me to be there for them.  To say the least, none of those fit in with the “true essence of Kim.”  I wanted true independence, meaning “be my own boss,” period.  This tied with doing something I have a passion for, is a win, win situation!

I am currently enjoying my adventure with a home-based business in the Health and Wellness Industry, where I help others optimize the two key areas of their life, health and wealth.
